She Said YES!
the update you have been waiting for
My apologies for not being more diligent with my posting. I feel like I have so little extra time these days. I did just get back from a cruise, and I do feel this is a significant enough an event that I should update people who still occasionally check this site. It was the first big vacation for my girlfriend and I. I really had the time of my life. It was really fun to share an experience like that with someone I care so much about.
Here are the pictures from this wonderful vacation.
P.S. I have recently started using RSS feeds to keep track of blogs and what not that don't update as often as they used too. If you are using Google Reader or the like you should definitely subscribe to my blog, or my web album.
Me and my Sweetie
This is me and my girlfriend. She is a sweetheart, and terribly fantastic.
They're Gone
I got my stiches out this week. This is what my arm looks like currently. It feels SOO much better than it used to. I think the stitches were actually causing me some of the pain I was having. I am sleeping way better. I am well on the road to recovery. I am headed back to work next Friday. Wish me luck.
Aftermath
This is what the suture looks like after having your tendon reattached to your elbow. This is actually on my forearm. My arm is still really tight, but there is significant improvement. Ithink it looks like they installed a mouth on my arm, it looks nothing like any suture i have ever had before. Still typing left handed, so this will remain brief.
Update
please ignore spelling andpunctuation in this post as i am typing it left handed. I had surgery on my right arm Wednesday. it is feeling better even though it looks gross. i think it is slowly feeling better. i am supposed to be going back to work on Wednesday, but i am not so sure about it.
i did get the internet connected at my new apartment. and many thanks to Paul for the assistance in the move.
there will be more once i can type normally again.
You simply won't believe this
I am at work the other day, and things are not going well as of late. I am rushing around and the guy who gets my samples isn't at work yet and I really need this done right away. I rush over and grab a LARGE roll of paper (my estimate would be 100+ pounds). In my earlier years I have grabbed rolls of this size without even batting an eye, I think I am beginning to show my age. I begin to left this roll and I feel a "ting"ing sensation in my right arm followed by LOTS of pain. I proceed to drop the roll and nearly tear up. I get some other people to load this paper for the sample and upon getting what I need I am told to get to the doctor's immediately. After waiting a LONG time and getting my very first drug and alcohol screening I am told I have TORN my right bicep. This injury would be alot cooler if I was chasing the home run record, but I was just lifting a roll of paper. Now I have an appointment with a specialist to asses the damage to my arm tomorrow. It feels way better today than it did yesterday so I am hoping it is not as bad as first thought. More details to come. It is a good thing I have a nice sweet girl to nurse me back to health.
